Take Action LA

Take Action LA is a Health Matters Clinic community mental health awareness and volunteerism program supported by the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health. It brings free events, education, and real connection to neighborhoods across Los Angeles County.

The 2026 Unstoppable season ran three free events: a Walk and Run in Inglewood on May 9, a Wellness Meetup on May 20, and a virtual session on May 27.

What the program does

• Free community events, open to everyone, at no cost to attend
• Mental health education grounded in what people actually face
• Volunteer pathways for people who want to give time rather than money
• Warm connection to local services through the HMC resource network
